Volcanoes Safaris participates in Responsible Tourism meeting with Uganda Wildlife Authority

Kevin James and Simon Kaweesi, Volcanoes Safaris managers were honoured to participate in a private sector stakeholder meeting with Uganda Wildlife Authority, Conservation Through Public Health, Arcus Foundation Apes and tour operators discussing responsible ecotourism and great ape trekking protocols in Uganda. Ensuring the risk of disease transmission from humans to gorillas and chimpanzees is minimized is essential to their long term survival. Volcanoes Safaris is honored to be collaborating in this important dialogue with Uganda Wildlife Authority, conservation partners and tour operators to ensure great ape tourism in Uganda is conducted responsibly and sustainably.
