Giant Pangolin seen at Kyambura Gorge Lodge!

The Fig Tree Trail camera traps at Kyambura Gorge Lodge have captured a wonderful first-ever sighting of a giant pangolin! Pangolins are nocturnal and solitary creatures that inhabit forests and savannah areas in Asia and Africa. Populations of pangolins are declining due to rapid habitat loss and the illegal wildlife trade. In partnership with the Uganda Wildlife Authority and the Jane Goodall Institute, Volcanoes Safaris Partnership Trust is committed to protecting the fragile Kyambura Gorge ecosystem and its unique wildlife.
