Roots and Shoots Program
Volcanoes Safaris Partnership Trust (VSPT) has been working together with Jane Goodall Institute Uganda since 2021 to support the threatened chimpanzee population at Kyambura Gorge.
In 2024 the partnership has expanded to Kibale Lodge where VSPT and the Jane Goodall Institute are working in partnership to organise community outreach programs, particularly to build up women leaders in conservation.
As part of this project, VSPT is supporting a number of schools as part of the Roots and Shoots Program, where schools incorporate environmental studies into their curriculums and motivate students to make a difference to environmental issues on an individual level.
Guests staying at Kibale Lodge can visit a school taking part in the Roots and Shoots program.
To support this project:
A donation of $500 will contribute to a community outreach training workshop near Kibale.
A donation of $2000 will pay for 3 month’s support for a school participating in Roots and Shoots program.
